We would like to congratulate the Knights on a good season. Merit decided this year to enter the baseball diamond. An Inaugural season is met with a lot of uncertainty in any undertaking. The young men who played as a whole had limited experience. They are to be congratulated for their willingness to put themselves out there for our school. A lot of lives challenges can be overcome just by being willing to step up to the plate and try. All who put on cleats and the Knight’s uniform did this and represented their school well. The team battled their way to 8 wins and 8 loses. The chance to go to state was alive until the last game and the last out. They improved greatly along the way, overcoming the bumps along the way, and beat more experienced teams. The best part of this group was watching them support one another and overcome the adversity faced. Life will always bring about adversity. Our ability to deal with those times help shape us into who we are. These young men did a great job of working hard, learning on the fly, and overcoming the challenges they faced. A special thank you to our seniors Brinler Tanner and Nate Dale. They did a great job of leading the Knights. Brinler will receive his Academic All-State Award on Saturday just before the start of the Championship game at UVU. We would also like to thank Mark Tanner for his time in keeping stats and announcing the home games.
